About 10 minutes on your symptoms, noise exposure, medication and family history.
Ear examination
Video otoscopy. If wax is blocking the canal, we can clear it first so the test is valid.
Testing
Pure-tone and speech tests take 30–40 minutes.

How long does an in-home hearing test take?
Plan for about an hour, including the ear examination, testing and a full explanation of your results.
Is a home test as accurate as a hospital test?
For most adults, yes. We use calibrated portable audiometers with sound-isolating headsets and check the room before testing. If we cannot get a reliable result, for example because of very loud construction next door, we will tell you and rebook.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly. If your results point to a medical problem, we refer you to an ENT consultant.
